HELPING PROFESSIONS
Feeling burned out?
Helping people can be exhausting and lonely. Too often, we expect ourselves to keep pouring out...even when it feels like we have nothing left to give. Although many of us still keep pushing ourselves to continue in this state, doing so indefinitely simply isn’t sustainable. Often, it leads to burnout, anxiety, depression, relational conflict and a deep questioning of our sense of calling and value.
Find refuge in counseling
By offering a space for you to process the conflicts, hurts, disappointments and trauma from doing what you felt called to do, counseling can bring refuge and change. I am passionate about those in ministry and other helping professions feeling safe enough to sit with the pains that come with the job. I invite you to consider letting me join you in your struggle if you are impacted by any of the following:
Not knowing your value apart from what you achieve
Persistent feelings of loneliness or sadness
Constantly feeling physically and emotionally exhausted
Depression
Anxiety
A recent loss
Frequent transitions
Culture shock
Re-entry difficulty
Feeling like things are out of balance
Discerning next steps
Let me walk with you to:
Discover your value apart from what you do
Identify the “unforced rhythms of grace” that can sustain you
Learn what forms of self care are necessary for you
Process and navigate your transitions
Debrief your professional experience
Establish healthy patterns of growth and relationships
